Farmlands. (a) The “
Farmlands. The Farmland Protection Policy Act (FPPA) regulates federal actions with the potential to convert farmland to non-agricultural uses. The Consultant Team will perform an analysis of farmland impacts for the Preferred Alternative and will include measures to minimize impacts to farmland, including adjustments to the Build Alternatives and exploration of opportunities to retain agricultural use on land needed for the proposed action. To determine the extent of potential farmland impacts, farmland values will be identified based upon the criteria of the Farmland Protection Policy Act (FPPA). Prime and unique farmland soils will be identified with data and information from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS).
Farmlands. As described in the project understanding, no prime or unique farmlands are located within the study area. Consequently, Form AD 1006 will not be required under the currently assumed work program.
Farmlands. Consultant will coordinate with Deschutes County and Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development. Because the project APE is entirely within the current airport boundary and is currently zoned for airport development, it is not anticipated that a Farmland Conversion Impact Rating form (AD-1006) will be required.
