Federal Interest. The Recipient agrees that the Federal Government retains a federal interest in all real property, equipment, and supplies acquired or improved for use in connection with a Project (Project property) until, and to the extent that, the Federal Government removes its federal interest.
Federal Interest. When a planning matter arises in terms of Federal interest and the administration of same, area municipalities will channel their concerns through the Regional Municipality with the expectation that the Regional Municipality will facilitate/coordinate an understanding between Federal authorities and local interests.
Federal Interest. This Lease Rider evidences a Federal Interest in the Leasehold that secures the right of the federal awarding agency to recover the remaining value of the Improvements in the event that a lease is terminated prior to expiration of its full term, including costs associated with relocation or replacement of a modular unit following such termination. The Federal Interest in the Leasehold of a facility on which the Tenant has made major renovations with Federal Head Start funds or placement of a modular unit on the Leased Premises continues for a period of at least 15 years and the Federal Interest in the Leasehold of land on which the Tenant has constructed a facility with Federal Head Start funds continues for a period of at least 30 years notwithstanding any termination of the lease prior to completion of its original term. In the event of termination prior to completion of the original term of the Lease, the value of the Improvements will be determined by applying the remaining term of the Lease expressed as a percentage of the entire term and applying the resulting percentage to the amount of Federal Head Start funds awarded to the Recipient/Grantee for the Improvements. The value of the Improvements at the time of termination and any costs associated with relocation or replacement of a modular unit following such termination is subject to disallowance at the discretion of the awarding agency.
Federal Interest. The term “Federal Interest,” in the context of the Lease, is the interest of HHS/ACF in the Leasehold that secures the remaining value of the Improvements.
Federal Interest. Federal funds may be used in the management of this land. Fish and wildlife agencies may not allow recreational activities and related facilities that would interfere with the purpose for which the State is managing the land. Other uses may be acceptable and must be assessed in each specific situation.
Federal Interest. OneTone recognizes that the federal government through NTIA holds a lien known as the “federal interest” on all of Assets funded through BTOP for their useful lives under the terms under which the Assets were funded. Useful life periods for certain Assets are included in Exhibit B.

Federal Interest. Federal interest means, in relation to real property, equipment, or supplies acquired or improved under an award or subaward, the dollar amount that is the product of the:
a. Federal share of total project costs; and
b. Current fair market value of the property, improvements, or both, to the extent the costs of acquiring or improving the property were included as project costs.
Federal Interest. 28.1. County acknowledges that WMATA is the recipient of Federal grants through the Federal Transit Administration (“FTA”), which funded, in part, the WMATA Property. County further acknowledges that pursuant to FTA grant requirements, WMATA must demonstrate and retain satisfactory continuing control over the use of the WMATA Property. County agrees that it will not exercise any right permitted under this Agreement in a manner which compromises or otherwise diminishes WMATA’s obligation to retain satisfactory continuing control over the use of the WMATA Property.
28.2. County acknowledges the Federal interest in the WMATA Property and agrees that it will take no action which compromises or otherwise diminishes such interest.
28.3. County acknowledges that WMATA must comply with all applicable Federal statutes, regulations, orders, certification and assurances, or other Federal law (collectively referred to as “Federal laws”), including, but not limited to, those set forth in the current Master Agreement governing transit projects supported with Federal assistance awarded through the FTA. County agrees that it will take no action seeking compliance with non-Federal laws to the extent such laws conflict with applicable Federal laws.
