Field Training Officer Premium. ‌ Eligible employees in the unit who are designated by the department shall receive a differential of one dollar and seventy-five ($1.75) per hour when assigned as a Field Training Officer. The specific number of employees that will be designated as Field Training Officers will be dependent on organization needs as determined by the appointing authority. The selection and designation of Field Training Officers will be in accordance with departmental policy. The differential provided to Field Training Officers shall not be considered a permanent form of additional compensation and not apply toward paid time off or terminal payoff. This differential will only be provided to those officers designated by the appointing authority.

Field Training Officer Premium. A Police Officer shall receive an additional five percent (5%) of the base rate of pay when assigned to and performing the duties of a field training officer or trainer.
Field Training Officer Premium. Unit members who are certified as a Field Training Officer and who are assigned a trainee, shall receive a premium in the amount of five percent (5%) of their base pay for the entire shift.

  • Field Training Officer When a Public Safety Officer has been designated as a Field Training Officer for a new employee he/she will receive a five percent (5%) increase for all the hours they provide direct training/instruction.

  • Field Training Officers The position of Field Training Officer (FTO) shall be held by a Trooper or Sergeant who most closely meets the requirements set forth by the Employer which are outlined in policy OSP-501.08. If the Employer determines there are an insufficient number of qualified volunteers, it may appoint other individuals to be FTOs. The District Commander shall make the final selections. A supplement of eight hundred dollars ($800.00) shall be given to all FTOs for the sixty (60) working day training period.
