Float er Days. Each full-time employee w ho has complet ed at least one (1) year of continuous service shall be entitled to a maximum of seven (7) Float er Days per calendar year. Such Float er Days shall be available to the employee on the basis of not more than three (3) days off w ork w ith pay prior to June 1st each year, and the remaining four (4) days off w ork w ith pay follow ing June 1st each year but prior to December 31st each year. An employee shall advise the City at least tw o (2) hours prior to the commencement of his/her normal shift in the case of sudden illness or emergency, and in any other instance w ith as much notice in advance as reasonably possible. The employee w ill notify the City in w riting of his/her w ish to receive payment for the Floater Day and the records of the City shall be deemed final and complete. Payment for a Float er day shall be at the employee’ s regular rate of pay, w ith a day representing eight (8) hours. Employees w ill not be permitted to take a part day. Employees may bank and carry over into the follow ing calendar year up to seven unused float er days. These banked float er days may be used at any time during the subsequent calendar year. Employees must notify the City in w riting by December 15th of each year of their desire to bank unused floater days. Any unused floater days beyond seven or, in the absence of x x xxxxxx request to bank, all floater days, w ill be paid out by the City in the first pay period of the subsequent year. Effective January 1, 2017 each full-time employee w ho has complet ed at least one (1) year of continuous service shall be entitled to one (1) Float er Day per calendar year, in accordance w ith the Mitchnik interest arbitration xx xxx dated June 22, 2016.

  • Lieu Days Where an employee is granted a lieu day pursuant to Clause 17.3 or 17.4 of this Agreement, the time off granted will be seven (7) hours per lieu day for a full-time employee and prorated for a part-time employee.

  • Contract Days Those days during a professional year on which assign- ments can be made for which a teacher is paid to work.

  • Business Days If any time period for giving notice or taking action hereunder expires on a day which is a Saturday, Sunday or holiday in the state in which the Company’s chief executive office is located, the time period shall be automatically extended to the business day immediately following such Saturday, Sunday or holiday.

  • Rest Days 6.1 Employees will be assigned two rest days in each seven-day period, subject to the following:

  • Payments Due on Non-Business Days Anything in this Agreement or the Notes to the contrary notwithstanding (but without limiting the requirement in Section 8.4 that the notice of any optional prepayment specify a Business Day as the date fixed for such prepayment), any payment of principal of or Make-Whole Amount or interest on any Note that is due on a date other than a Business Day shall be made on the next succeeding Business Day without including the additional days elapsed in the computation of the interest payable on such next succeeding Business Day; provided that if the maturity date of any Note is a date other than a Business Day, the payment otherwise due on such maturity date shall be made on the next succeeding Business Day and shall include the additional days elapsed in the computation of interest payable on such next succeeding Business Day.

  • Furlough Days A furlough day is defined as a day during the fiscal year on which employees do not report to work and are not paid. Furloughs are designed to address temporary emergency financial circumstances that threaten the financial well- being of the institution. Therefore, the President, with approval of the Board of Trustees, may temporarily place all bargaining unit eligible employees on leave without pay status when the state does not fully fund the base operating grant in any particular fiscal year. The Board shall approve the duration and dates of the furlough, after notifying the Union of the State’s failure to fund the base operating grant necessitating the need for furlough days. Employees shall be given at least 30 days’ notice of a furlough. No more than 5 furlough days shall fall within the same pay period. If the Board implements more than 10 furlough days in a fiscal year, the College shall not implement a reduction in force for unit members during the same fiscal year. If after furlough days have been implemented, the College receives full funding of the State base operating grant in a particular fiscal year, unit members who had unpaid furlough days during that year and remain employed with the College shall be reimbursed for their lost earnings due to the unpaid furlough days.

  • Days Unless otherwise specifically indicated to the contrary, the word "days" as used in this Lease shall mean and refer to calendar days.

  • Payments on Business Days Except as provided pursuant to Section 2.01 pursuant to a Board Resolution, and set forth in an Officer’s Certificate, or established in one or more indentures supplemental to this Indenture, in any case where the date of maturity of interest or principal of any Security or the date of redemption of any Security shall not be a Business Day, then payment of interest or principal (and premium, if any) may be made on the next succeeding Business Day with the same force and effect as if made on the nominal date of maturity or redemption, and no interest shall accrue for the period after such nominal date.
