Floats and Berths. A marginal float not less than 622 feet in length along the waterfront to serve as a pedestrian way along the waterfront of the Premises. Tenant may use said marginal float for the purpose of berthing boats for water transient trade or may, in addition thereto, construct suitable floats and berths perpendicular to said marginal float for berthing boats for water transient trade.

Floats and Berths. The marginal float and other suitable floats and berths have been constructed in the same manner as the public floats in the Berkeley Marina, and shall be maintained, updated and upgraded from time to time as reasonably appropriate or necessary. As of the Effective Date, a shoreline walkway and three berths at the Hotel for boat tie-ups are in place and the marginal float is in compliance with the terms and conditions of the 2008 Ground Lease and the foregoing provisions of this Ground Lease.

  • Funeral and Bereavement Leave 19.01 In the event of death in the immediate family of an employee, the employee will be granted leave of absence with pay, with consideration given to travel time for attending the funeral. The length of absence shall be up to three (3) days at the discretion of the Employer. The term ‘immediate family’ shall mean: spouse, parent, child, brother, sister, step-mother, step-father, step-son, step-daughter, step-brother, step-sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandmother, grandfather, and grandchildren, or any relative living in the household of the employee. In the event of the demise of an aunt or uncle, nephew or niece, an employee will be granted one (1) day leave of absence with pay to attend the funeral. In the case of death of spouse, father, mother, child, step-parent or step-child, the employee shall be entitled to, up to one (1) weeks leave of absence with pay.

  • Volunteer Firefighting Leave Leave without pay will be granted when an employee who is a volunteer firefighter is called to duty to respond to a fire, natural disaster or medical emergency.

  • Continuous, Intermittent, and Reduced Work Schedule Leave All leave granted under this Article shall normally be for a continuous period of time for each incident. An employee shall be permitted to take intermittent leave or work on a reduced schedule to take care of a family member with a serious health condition or for his/her own serious health condition when it is medically necessary. Management may require the employee to transfer temporarily to an available alternative position with equivalent compensation for which the employee is qualified that accommodates recurring periods of leave better than the employee’s regular position. Employees who elect a part-time schedule shall receive prorated compensated time off benefits in accordance with Section 4.110 of the Los Angeles Administrative Code during the duration of their part-time schedule. In accordance with the California Family Rights Act (CFRA), leave for the birth, adoption or xxxxxx care placement of a child of an employee (“bonding” leave) does not have to be taken in one continuous period of time. Under CFRA, the basic minimum duration of bonding leave is two weeks, and on any two occasions an employee is entitled to such bonding leave for a time period of not less than one day but less than two weeks’ duration. Any other form of intermittent leave, or work on a reduced schedule, for the purpose of bonding leave shall only be permitted at the discretion of Management. Bonding leave must be concluded within one year of the birth or placement of the child.
