FOP Dues. The University agrees to process forms to deduct dues and initiation fees, if applicable, from the wages of eligible officers who have signed a proper authorization for such deduction. The authorization method as well as the amount to be deducted is a matter decided between the Union and its membership. The University shall be held harmless on any dispute or litigation arising under the terms of this Section. The University agrees to remit the aggregate of the Union dues to the Union.

FOP Dues. 3.01 The City will deduct from the pay of each Bargaining Unit member who in writing so authorizes it to do so the required amount of fees for the payment of FOP dues. 3.02 The FOP recognizes its obligation to fairly and equitably represent all members of the Bargaining Unit, whether or not they are members of the FOP, for purposes of collective bargaining, contract enforcement and grievance resolution. 3.03 The FOP agrees to hold the City harmless in any suit, claim or administrative proceeding arising out of or connected with the imposition, determination or collection of dues, to indemnify the City for any liability imposed on it as a result of any such suit, claim or administrative proceeding, and to reimburse the City for any and all expenses incurred by the City in defending any such suit, claim or administrative proceeding, including attorney fees and court costs. For purposes in this Section, the term "City" includes the City of Willowick and its various offices and officials, whether elected or appointed.

Defendants agree that the United States, at a minimum, shall be entitled to recoup from Defendants any overpayment plus applicable interest and penalties as a result of the inclusion of such Unallowable Costs on previously-submitted cost reports, information reports, cost statements, or requests for payment. Any payments due after the adjustments have been made shall be paid to the United States pursuant to the direction of the Department of Justice and/or the affected agencies. The United States reserves its rights to disagree with any calculations submitted by Defendants or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates on the effect of inclusion of Unallowable Costs (as defined in this paragraph) on Defendants or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates’ cost reports, cost statements, or information reports.

  • A-E’S EXPENSE A-E will be responsible for all costs related to photo copying, telephone communications and fax communications while on COUNTY sites during the performance of work and services under this CONTRACT.

  • CHECK-OFF OF UNION DUES Check-off – Process and Procedures (a) The Employer agrees to deduct union dues, fines, assessments and arrears, upon receipt of the appropriate assignment of wages form, signed by each employee. (b) Upon commencement of employment, each new employee will be required to sign the appropriate assignment of wages form. In the event that the Employer's files do not contain the necessary assignment of wages for any existing employee, such employees shall, upon demand, sign and present the appropriate assignment of wages form. (c) All monies deducted from employees' earnings pursuant to this article, are to be forwarded to the Treasurer of the Union, together with a list of employees and their employee number to whom the monies are to be credited, and the names, addresses and employee number of new employees hired, on or before the 15th day of the month following the month in which the monies were deducted. (d) It is the responsibility of the Union to advise the Employer in writing as to the amount of money to be deducted for union dues, fines, assessments and arrears, and of any changes in the amounts to be deducted. In the event that any amount to be deducted is changed from the amount specified in the assignment of wages form signed by the employees, the Employer can require the employees to sign new forms reflecting the new amounts to be deducted prior to making such deductions. (e) The Union recognizes and agrees that the Employer's obligation to deduct such dues is expressly restricted to make only such deductions as are permitted by law, and as are authorized by a valid assignment of wages form executed by each employee. (f) Upon resignation, layoff, or termination for cause, the Employer will deduct the current month's dues from the employee's final paycheque and remit it as per Article 4(c) above. (g) In the event that the Union alleges any violation by the Employer of this article, notice of such alleged violation shall be given to the Employer in writing. If the matter is not resolved between the Employer and the Union, either party may then refer the issue directly to arbitration. (h) The Employer agrees to record the amount of union dues deducted on each employee's T4 slip. (i) A report of employees who cease employment will be provided to the Union up to four times a year upon request.
