– Formal – To The Superintendent. If the grievance is not resolved in Step 1, the employee and/or the UNION may appeal the grievance, in writing, to the Superintendent or his/her impartial designee within five (5) working days after receipt of the immediate supervisor/s answer to the grievance. All appeals of the grievance shall be signed and dated by the member and the Union President. The Superintendent or his/her impartial designee shall arrange for a hearing within five (5) days of receiving the written appeal of the grievance. The member may, at his/her option, be represented at the hearing by a Union Representative. The Superintendent or his/her impartial designee shall answer the grievance appeal within five (5) working days after the hearing has taken place.

  • The Superintendent President or his/her designee may, in his/her sole discretion, approve short term personal leave of up to 30 days to any permanent unit member to meet emergency situations which arise out of circumstances which are unpredictable and unavoidable.

  • Level Two - Superintendent If the aggrieved person is not satisfied with the disposition of his/her grievance at Level One, or if no decision is reached within six (6) school days after the grievance was referred to the building principal or immediate supervisor, then within ten (10) school days a written grievance shall be referred to the Superintendent.
