Four Hour Tours - Part-time Only. The Centre will endeavour to keep the proportion of four (4) hour tours to a minimum. No part-time nurse will be scheduled solely tours of four hours in any pay period and will be offered the opportunity to be scheduled additional tours in other areas within the Centre, except where such arrangements are requested by the nurse. Nurses working tours of less than seven and one half hours will not be scheduled to work more than seven (7) shifts in a row. If a nurse is required to work on an eighth (8) consecutive shift and subsequent tour, then she/he will receive premium pay for each tour worked until a day off is scheduled, except where such arrangements are made at the nurses’ request. Where a nurse is scheduled to work a tour of less than seven and one half hours and the nurse is expected to work in excess of the scheduled short tour she shall be paid premium rates in accordance with Article 14 for all hours worked in excess of the scheduled tour. Part-time nurses will be offered the opportunity to work 4 hours prior to scheduling Agency nurses.

G-6 It is understood that there will be no requirement for nurses to remain on the Hospital's premises during unpaid meal breaks. Any requirement to remain will result in overtime payment in accordance with Article 14.

  • Part-Time Only A rest period of fifteen (15) minutes will be granted during each half tour provided the duration of each half tour is not less than three (3) hours.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Hour Shift An eight (8) hour tour shall be inclusive of an unpaid one-half (1/2) hour meal period, and two fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods.

  • Part-Time Nurse is a Nurse hired to a position to work on a regular or temporary basis that is less than the work period of a Full-Time Nurse.

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees ‌ (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee. (b) A part-time employee working less than the normal days per week of a full-time employee, and who is required to work other than their regularly scheduled workdays, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the days so worked up to and including the normal workdays in the workweek of a full-time employee. (c) Overtime rates shall apply to hours worked in excess of (a) and (b) above.

  • Hours Worked For the purpose of computing the number of hours worked, all time during which an employee is in paid status shall be construed as hours worked.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week for full-time employees covered by this Agreement shall be forty (40) hours, exclusive of the time allotted for meal periods, consisting of five (5) consecutive work days followed by two (2) consecutive days off. The week shall commence with the shift that includes 12:01 A.M. Sunday of each calendar week and end at the start of the shift that includes 12:00 midnight the following Saturday. The Employer retains the right to modify the work schedules to meet operational needs.

  • Part-Time Teachers A "part-time teacher" is one who is employed under written contract but who is assigned to duties on a regular basis that requires less than a full-time equivalent. A part-time teacher shall be paid a salary in accordance with the basic salary schedule, proportionate to the percentage of the full-time equivalent taught each day as outlined in the written contract.

  • Requirement to Work Reasonable Overtime The Employer may require any Employee to work reasonable overtime at overtime rates and such Employee shall work overtime in accordance with such requirement.

  • Overtime Meals When employees are required to work more than two (2) hours beyond their regular work days, the Employer will provide hot meals at no cost to the employees, up to a maximum of sixteen dollars ($16.00) (receipts to be submitted) plus paid meal periods of one-half (1/2) hour at the prevailing rate and thereafter at four (4) hour intervals. Any early morning start before regular starting time is entitled to a paid meal. The breakfast limit is thirteen dollars ($13.00) (receipts to be submitted). Employees called out on overtime shall be paid for meals as above, after four (4) hours work.
