Four Hours Beyond Scheduled Shift. All hours worked in excess of 13 twelve (12) consecutive hours for eight-hour posted shifts, in excess of 14 fourteen (14) consecutive hours for ten-hour posted shifts, or in 15 excess of sixteen (16) consecutive hours for twelve hour posted shifts; 16 or all hours worked in excess of the aforementioned number of hours 17 on a non-consecutive basis, within a 24-hour period, following the 18 commencement of such shift. When the excess work occurs before 19 the nurse’s regularly scheduled hours, the double time rate will be 20 applied to the non-regularly scheduled hours.

  • Additional Shifts 32.1 The Employer is committed to maximising its permanent workforce in line with its occupancy levels. The Employer will always offer additional shifts in the first instance to its permanent part-time staff where practicable. It will then offer additional shifts to its casual or bank staff, where applicable.
