Weekend Scheduling. Nurses shall normally be scheduled for every other 20 weekend off. This provision shall not apply when the nurse requests to work such a 21 schedule or if the consecutive weekends occur when nurses trade weekends. For 22 purposes of this section, the weekend shall be defined as Saturday and Sunday. The 23 weekend differential will be paid according to Appendix A, Section 11.
Weekend Scheduling a. It is the policy of the Agency to schedule employees with at least fifty percent (50%) of weekends off, with the exception of nurses who work a flexible schedule or when operational needs require a position where the nurse works more than fifty percent (50%) of weekends. Positions where the nurse works more than fifty percent (50%) of a facility’s weekends will be granted two (2) consecutive days off during the work week. Such positions will be posted for bidding. Employees with at least fifty percent (50%) of weekends off who voluntarily express a desire, in writing, to work more than fifty percent (50%) of weekends off when work is available may be scheduled to do so. Such employees who have volunteered to work consecutive weekends may withdraw such authorization upon two (2) weeks written notice. b. For purposes of this Section, the weekend begins with the night shift on Friday and ends forty-eight (48) consecutive hours later.
Weekend Scheduling. It is the policy of the Employer to schedule those nurses who so desire every other weekend off, with the exception of those nurses who have signed an authorization to work consecutive weekends. Nurses who have volunteered to work consecutive weekends may withdraw such authorization upon two (2) weeks’ written notice prior to the date a new schedule must be posted. 7.8.1 Requests for extra weekend shifts off. All RNs with twelve (12) years or more seniority may request and be granted, in order of seniority, extra weekend shifts off. These shifts will be granted, in the manager’s discretion, after vacation requests have been approved and operating requirements of the unit have been met.
Weekend Scheduling. Work schedules will be prepared and posted for sign-up by all employees on a seniority basis. In cases where an employee has significant personal circumstances which cause her/him to be unable to work weekends, every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate the affected employee. Such accommodation will be within the constraints of meeting the Corporation’s business needs without incurring additional costs. Failing resolution, the shift will be filled in the order of reverse seniority.
Weekend Scheduling. Section 1. It is the policy of the Agency to schedule those nurses who so desire every other weekend off, with the exception of those nurses who have agreed in writing to work schedules calling for consecutive weekend work and those who express a desire in writing to work consecutive two (2)-day weekends when work is available. Nurses who have agreed to work consecutive weekends may request withdrawal of such authorization upon thirty (30) days written notice. Part-time nurses who are hired in positions requiring consecutive weekend work and full- time nurses who are hired in two-sixteen (2-16) plus an eight (8) positions requiring consecutive weekend work are exempted from this provision. Section 2. Where it is necessary, nurses will agree to be on work schedules of standard schedules made up of shifts totaling forty (40) hours in an established seven (7) consecutive day, twenty-four (24)-hour period or variation of work schedules totaling eighty (80) hours in an established fourteen (14) consecutive day, twenty-four (24)-hour period. Section 3. For the purpose of this Article weekend is defined as follows:  Day shift weekend is any combination of Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday shifts;  Swing shift weekend is any combination of Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday shifts;  Night shift weekend is any combination of Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday shifts.
Weekend Scheduling. 1. A weekend shall be defined as Saturday and Sunday with each weekend day starting with the shift change nearest 12:01 a.m. 2. The Employer shall grant each Regular and 24 hour PRN nurse every other weekend off. This provision shall be waived on the written request of the individual nurse. 3. Nurses may not schedule vacation time in patterns to avoid weekend rotations, however, vacations may include regularly scheduled work weekends without the need to pay back the weekend.
Weekend Scheduling. Effective April 1, 2007, a nurse will receive premium pay in accordance with Article 14 for all hours worked on a third and consecutive weekend, save and except where: i) such weekend has been worked by the employee to satisfy specific days off requested by such employee; or ii) such employee has requested only weekend work; or iii) such weekend is worked as the result of an exchange of shifts with another employee; or iv) when specific nursing units have mutually agreed to do otherwise. Note: Nurses at Lady Minto Hospital who currently enjoy the superior benefit of every second weekend off shall retain this benefit until they resign or retire.
Weekend Scheduling. (a) A full-time nurse will be scheduled to work a maximum of fifty percent (50%) weekends. A regular part time nurse must be available to be scheduled to work 50% of weekends. (b) Should a nurse be required to work more than two (2) consecutive weekends, she/he shall be paid in accordance with Article 14.03 for the third weekend, and every consecutive weekend until a weekend off is scheduled save and except where: i. such weekend has been worked by the nurse to satisfy specific days off requested by such nurse; or ii such nurse has requested weekend work; or ii. such weekend is worked as a result of an exchange of tours with another nurse. For the purpose of this section, a weekend off is defined as a period of seven (7) consecutive tours of which six (6) tours are between 2330 hours Friday and 2330 hours Sunday inclusive.
Weekend Scheduling. 1. Each Employer shall schedule each permanent full-time Employee who is regularly scheduled to work five (5) days a week for every other weekend off except: (a) Where an Employee agrees to or requests another sched- ule of days off and the Employer consents, (b) Where the Union and the Employer otherwise agree to a different schedule with respect to a particular unit, department or job classification, (c) Where such scheduling would result in an unreasonable interference with the efficient operation of a unit or department, and
Weekend Scheduling. All Registered Nurses shall be scheduled off at least one weekend out of each three rolling, consecutive weekends. If a Registered Nurse is scheduled to and does work on a third or more successive weekend, those hours will be paid for at the rate of time and one-half. This provision shall not apply to any Registered Nurse specifically employed to work weekends or any Registered Nurse that otherwise agrees to waive this provision.
