Gender Focus. In this program, CCAD is committed to adopt a perspective of gender equity, in a manner that the focus is on expected results, and will always be addressed to distribute benefits of the project among women and men, in the national and regional environments. This wider focus responds to the CCAD commitment to work with an integral perspective that allows and values the diversity in the regional environment, being gender equity a key and important component to be considered within the environmental mandates derived from CAFTA-DR and ECA, where equality of opportunities represents a fundamental factor for development; it must be strengthened at the regional level to respond to a mandate from the Council of Environment Ministries, and internalize it towards the other XXXX bodies, as is the case of the Economy and Trade Authorities of the CAFTA countries, with which CCAD will work coordinately. CCAD’s role in this program, from the point of view of the three roles that correspond to it: Strengthening and Interinstitutional and Intersectoral Coordination, Training and Technical Assistance, as well as Regional environmental Information; it requires to cut across the subject, not only towards thematic components, but also into areas such as communications and spreading, where it is very important to measure the affectivity of information transmitted on the program advance, at the level of men and women users.
Gender Focus. The Programme’s targeting approach shall ensure equitable Programme benefits for females. Each Programme Party shall ensure that women participate fully in the community resources planning process under the Coastal Area Resource Management Component (paragraph 5.A.(i) of Schedule 1).
