General Alcohol Testing Procedure. A Certified Breath Alcohol Technician who is an employee of the Xxxx County School System or the designated provider will be requested to perform and be responsible for administering an Evidential Breath Test or Saliva Alcohol Test. If the Evidential Breath Test or Saliva Alcohol Test is positive, a confirmation Evidential Breath Test or Saliva Alcohol Test will be taken. If a test is to be made for drugs, this specimen will be taken at the same time that the alcohol specimen is taken but will be processed as a separate specimen. Collection of Specimen Procedures for taking the urine specimen, in the event of a positive breath analysis for alcohol assay, will follow the same procedures as outlined in General Drug Testing Procedures above for the drug specimen and the specimen will be tightly sealed immediately to avoid loss of volatile constituents. Test Methods and Levels The breath analysis test level to be considered positive will be a .02 which would lead to a confirmation test. The alcohol urine assay will be an EMIT screening followed by a confirmatory gas chromatography test on positive screens. Either test will be considered positive if the results are.08 or more.

General Alcohol Testing Procedure. Normally, two (2) breath tests--screening and confirming-—shall be used to detect the presence in an Employee’s system of prohibited levels of alcohol as set forth in paragraph C above. The testing procedures, mechanisms, chain of custody, confidentiality, and evaluation of test results shall be conducted pursuant to applicable state and federal regulations, as amended from time to time. Test results shall be evaluated by a certified medical review officer (MRO) who will provide the Employer and Employee a written statement of his findings and conclusions. Blood alcohol concentrations (BAC) of less than .02 are considered a negative test. Employees testing positively with a BAC of .02, but less than .04, shall be immediately suspended without pay for a period of twenty-four (24) hours, or until a re-test confirms a BAC of less than .02, whichever occurs first. Employees testing positively with a BAC of .04 or more shall, be immediately suspended from work without pay and, absent further disciplinary action, shall be eligible to return to work upon (1) completion of a professional evaluation; (2) successful completion in a timely manner of any recommended rehabilitation and/or testing programs; and (3) negative test upon return to work.

If the result is an alcohol concentration level of less than 0.02, the test is considered a negative test. If the alcohol concentration level is 0.02 or more, a second confirmation test will be conducted. Levels of .04 or greater on the confirmation test will be considered positive.

  • Drug and Alcohol Testing – Safety-Sensitive Functions A. Employees required to have a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) are subject to pre-employment, post-accident, random and reasonable suspicion testing in accordance with the U.S. Department of Transportation rules, Coast Guard Regulations (46 CFR Part 16) or the Federal Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991. The testing will be conducted in accordance with current Employer policy.

  • Working Procedure Assist in the definition and analysis of vehicle system requirements. Prepare technical specification sheets. Evaluate vendor proposals to ensure the specifications are met. Assist in the generation and checking of test reports. May conduct and witness factory acceptance tests, dynamic performance tests and may provide support for commissioning of vehicles at customers' premises. Perform other related duties as required.

  • Testing Procedures Testing will be conducted by an outside certified Agency in such a way to ensure maximum accuracy and reliability by using the techniques, chain of custody procedures, equipment and laboratory facilities which have been approved by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. All employees notified of a positive controlled substance or alcohol test result may request an independent test of their split sample at the employee’s expense. If the test result is negative the Employer will reimburse the employee for the cost of the split sample test.
