GENERAL LIMITATION ON LEAVES OF ABSENCE. (a) All leaves of absence provided for in this Agreement are leaves without pay, unless it is specifically provided in the appropriate article that the particular leave of absence is to be granted with pay. (b) Leaves of absence other than those specifically provided for in this Agreement may be granted to employees where it is deemed appropriate to do so by the Employer, but the granting of such leaves is within the discretion of the Employer.
