Grievance during Working Hours. Shop Stewards shall be permitted to take up grievances during working hours without loss of pay or to attend Employer meetings to discuss any mutual problems providing the meeting has been agreed to by the Employer. The Union agrees that its representatives will conduct business in such a manner as to not unduly interfere with the work and/or service schedules. Where a Shop Xxxxxxx attends a grievance meeting scheduled during their non-working hours, the attendance shall be considered as a minimum call out as per Clause 19.04 and shall be paid accordingly, only if required by management.

  • Union Activity During Working Hours The Employer and the Union recognize that union representatives and stewards play an important role in effectuating the terms of this Agreement; however, both parties acknowledge that the duties undertaken as a union representative or xxxxxxx are in addition to the their job assignments. The Union shall notify the Department of Budget and Management in writing of the names of designated stewards and union representatives prior to them assuming any duties.
