HEALTH & SAFETY CONDITIONS. 250. The Department shall attempt to provide a safe and healthy work place for City employees. UAPD agrees that it shares the responsibility for these efforts, as do City employees. 251. When an employee, in good faith, believes that a hazardous and unsafe condition exists, and that continuing to work under such conditions pose risks beyond those normally associated with good medical/dental practice, and is outside accepted norms for practice, he/she shall so notify the Department’s Safety Committee and/or Safety Officer. If the Department agrees the assignment is hazardous or unsafe, the employee shall be reassigned, if possible, until the hazard is eliminated. If there is no concurrence, the matter may be submitted to the Grievance Procedure for final resolution. The employee’s assignment shall be continued until the dispute is resolved.
HEALTH & SAFETY CONDITIONS. 7.1. The Lessee acknowledges that there are health and safety matters that are outside of the County’s control. The Lessee acknowledges that such health and safety concerns may require the County to, without notice, alter the terms and conditions of the permit, terminate this Agreement, and/or close County of Xxxxx facilities. Upon receipt of any written notice, the Lessee shall forthwith comply with any and all newly amended, and/or additional terms as required by the County. Upon discovery of non-compliance with any term of this provision or any provincial order shall result in immediate termination of this Agreement and the Lessee’s right to use the County of Xxxxx Facility. The County of Xxxxx shall not be responsible for any losses or damages (including but not limited to special, consequential, incidental, direct, or indirect) to the Lessee from any alteration or termination of this Permit.

  • SAFETY CONDITIONS 1.0 The responsibility for providing for safe working conditions that are in conformance with applicable law and which are within fiscal constraints shall be the District’s. Employees shall be responsible for complying with safety procedures and practices and for reporting any unsafe condition, facility, or equipment of which he/she is aware. The District shall be responsible for informing employees of necessary safety procedures and practices. There shall be no reprisal against an employee for reporting any real or potentially unsafe condition, facility, or equipment.

  • Health and Safety Requirements The Contractor and his subcontractors ensure at all times compliance with safety regulations imposed by any Act of Parliament, ordinance or any regulation or by¬law of any local or statutory authority. Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act of 1993-Section 37) The Contractor shall comply with:  The Occupational Health and Safety Xxx, 0000, and all Regulations made there under;  All Eskom Safety and Operating Procedures listed in this Works Information. The Contractor acknowledges that it is fully aware of the requirements of all the above and undertakes to employ only people who have been duly authorised in terms thereof and who have received sufficient training to ensure that they can comply therewith. The Contractor undertakes not to do, or not to allow anything to be done which will contravene any of the provisions of the Act, Regulations or Safety and Operating Procedures. The Contractor shall appoint a person who will liaise with the Eskom Safety Officer responsible for the premises relevant to this contract. The person so appointed shall, on request:  Supply the Eskom Safety Officer with copies of minutes of all Health and Safety Committee meetings, whenever he is required to do so;  Supply the Eskom Safety Officer with copies of all appointments in respect of employees employed on this contract, in terms of the Act and Regulations and shall advise the Eskom Safety Officer of any changes thereto. Eskom may, at any stage during the currency of this agreement, be entitled to:  Do safety audits at the Contractor’s premises, its work-places and on its employees;  Refuse any employee, sub-contractor or agent of the Contractor access to its premises if such person has been found to commit any unlawful act or any unsafe working practice or is found to be not authorised or qualified in terms of the Act;

  • Health & Safety (a) The Employer and the Union agree that they mutually desire to maintain standards of safety and health in the Home, in order to prevent injury and illness and abide by the Occupational Health and Safety Act as amended from time to time.

  • Health and Safety Standards Contractor shall abide by all health and safety standards set forth by the State of California and/or the County of Xxxxxx pursuant to the Injury and Illness Prevention Program. If applicable, Contractor must receive all health and safety information and training from County.

  • Accident Prevention Health and Safety Committee The Employer and the Union agree that they mutually desire to maintain standards of safety and health in the Hospital in order to prevent accidents, injury and illness. Recognizing its responsibilities under the applicable legislation, the Hospital agrees to accept as a member of its Accident Health and Safety Committee at least one representative selected or appointed by the Union from amongst bargaining unit employees. Such Committee shall identify potential dangers and hazards, institute means of improving health and safety programs and recommend actions to be taken to improve conditions related to safety and health. The Hospital agrees to co-operate reasonably in providing necessary information to enable the Committee to fulfil its functions. Meetings shall be held every second month or more frequently at the call of the chair if required. The Committee shall maintain minutes of all meetings and make the same available for review. Any representative appointed or selected in accordance with hereof shall serve for a term of one (1) calendar year from the date of appointment which may be renewed for further periods of one year. Time off for such representative to attend meetings of the Accident Prevention-Health Safety Committee in accordance with the foregoing shall be granted and time so spent attending such meetings shall be deemed to be work time for which the shall be paid by the Hospital at his or her regular or premium rate as may be applicable. The Union agrees to endeavour to obtain the full co-operation of its membership in the observation of all safety rules and practices. Pregnant employees may request to be transferred from their current duties if, in the professional opinion of the employee's physician, the pregnancy may be at risk. If such a transfer is not feasible, the pregnant employee, if she so requests, will be granted an unpaid leave of absence before of the maternity leave referred to in Article Where the Hospital identifies high risk areas where employees are exposed to Hepatitis the Hospital will provide at no cost to the employees, a Hepatitis B vaccine.

  • WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY The parties to this Agreement are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace and work practices. The parties recognise that illness or injury at the workplace is costly to the employer and the employees and also disruptive to the respective parties. To facilitate healthy and safe work practices, the parties to the Agreement are committed to discussing health and safety issues as they apply to the operations of the employer as part of the consultative measures under this Agreement. The employer and employees under this agreement may refer to their respective industrial representatives for appropriate advice or expertise in enhancing performance with due regard to health and safety initiatives. The parties also recognise the importance of conducting regular audits of the employer's operations, policies and procedures including the employees' skills, knowledge, qualifications and application of healthy and safe work practices.

  • COMPLIANCE WITH HEALTH & SAFETY CODE § 25249 7(f) Xxxxxxxx agrees to comply with the reporting requirements referenced in Health & Safety Code § 25249.7(f).

  • HEALTH AND SAFETY C8.1 The Contractor shall promptly notify the Authority of any health and safety hazards which may arise in connection with the performance of the Contract.
