Holiday Pay For Work on a City Observed Holiday. In the event an employee is assigned to work on the City observed holiday, in addition to being paid for the holiday at the employee’s regular rate of pay, whether it is or is not the employee’s regularly scheduled workday, the employee shall be paid for working the holiday at the regular rate of pay unless FLSA overtime provisions apply, meaning the employee will be paid overtime.
