Common use of HOLIDAY PROVISIONS Clause in Contracts

HOLIDAY PROVISIONS. (a) Regular full-time employees are eligible for the following paid holidays: Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Day after Thanksgiving Day Day before Christmas Day Christmas Day Day before New Year’s Day New Year’s Day (b) Employees will be paid their current rate based upon their normal scheduled work (c) Should the holiday fall on a Saturday, Friday shall be considered as the holiday. Should a holiday fall on Sunday, Monday shall be considered as the holiday. (d) It is agreed, however, that in the case where school is in session or the day is not applicable, the holiday shall be considered a day mutually agreed upon between the Employer and the Union, in writing. (e) To be eligible for holiday pay, the employee must have worked his last scheduled shift before the holiday and his first scheduled shift after the holiday, unless otherwise excused.
