Common use of Holiday Season Leave Clause in Contracts

Holiday Season Leave. a) Employees not designated as essential by the Employer shall be granted leave with pay for regular working days falling in the period between December 26th and January 1st. b) Employees designated as essential by the employer and who are required to work the regular working days between December 26th and January 1st, shall be subject to the overtime provisions of Article 12. c) Employees designated as essential by the employer and who work the regular working days between December 26th and January 1st, shall be credited with on (1) day vacation leave for each day worked during that period. d) Except for unforeseen circumstances, employees will be advised by December 15th if they are designated essential and will be required to work during this period.
