Common use of HOLIDAYS & HOLIDAY PAY Clause in Contracts

HOLIDAYS & HOLIDAY PAY. 12.01 Employees will be entitled to receive an amount equal to four (4%) percent of their base wage for all hours worked as holiday pay in lieu of the following holidays: New Years’ Day; Family Day; Good Friday; Victoria Day; Canada Day; Civic Holiday; Labour Day; Thanksgiving Day; Remembrance Day; Christmas Day and Boxing Day. 12.02 Employees required to work on one of the above holidays will receive overtime pay as per Article 9 for all hours worked in addition to the holiday pay outlined in Article 12.01. 12.03 Holiday Pay will be paid to employees on each paycheque.
