Hour Work Days. Effective 1983 November 27 the Employer shall implement a 10 hour work day for uniformed operations personnel in the Patrol Division at which time the agreement contained in the Letter of Understanding regarding the 12 hour shift shall be deemed void and of no further force and effect.

Hour Work Days. (i) As an exception to the above, the basic work week for full- time employees working ten (10) hour days covered by this Agreement shall be forty (40) hours consisting of four (4) ten (10) hour shifts. (ii) There will be two (2) paid rest periods of twenty (20) minutes and will be scheduled as close to mid-shift as possible between start time and lunch break as well as lunch break and finish time. (iii) Sick time will be prorated in conjunction with the allowances as stated in the Collective Agreement for all employees and will be paid based on that rate. (i. e. - If you call in sick and you have sick time, you will receive ten (10) hours’ sick time for this day) (iv) Overtime will be paid as follows. The first hour Anytime worked over ten (10) hours in any given day will be paid at one and one half (1 ½ X) times the regular rate of pay. All hours worked after the first hour at one and one half (1 ½) will be at double their regular rate of pay. (v) Paid holidays will be prorated in conjunction with the allowances as stated in the Collective Agreement for all employees and will be paid based on that rate. (i. e. - If you work ten (10) hour shifts, your paid holiday pay will be ten (10) hours' pay) (vi) Days off will be consecutive whenever possible but at the very least each employee will have as a minimum two (2) consecutive days off.

  • Work Days The work day shall consist of an assigned shift within twenty-four (24) consecutive hours commencing at 12:01 a.m.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.

  • Working Days Without prejudice to clause 9.1, where the Authority funds the delivery of this Contract using European Social Fund (ESF) funds or in its role as a Co-financing Organisation uses this contract as a match for ESF provision, either at the outset of the contract or at any point during the life of the contract, the Contractor and any Sub-contractors appointed by it shall be bound by the corresponding additional requirements detailed within relevant Contractor Guidance, including the maintaining of records until at least 31 December 2023.

  • Work Day and Work Week The normal work day shall consist of up to 8 hours of work within a 24-hour period. The normal work week shall consist of up to 40 hours of work within a 7-day period. The Employer may define the work week on an individual, department, shift or facility basis in accordance with Federal and State law.

  • Normal Work Day The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours and the normal work week shall be forty (40) hours, Monday through Friday, provided however that nothing herein shall be construed as guaranteeing any EMPLOYEE eight (8) hours of work per day or forty (40) hours per week. A single shift shall consist of eight (8) hours of continuous employment, except for unpaid lunch period, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Sick Days Employees will be provided with 6 sick days per calendar year. Sick days are paid at 75% of the employee’s step rate.

  • Snow Days ‌ If an employee, after good faith efforts, is unable to report to work for their scheduled duty period because of weather conditions, the employee may utilize paid time off.

  • Day Work The Company shall structure the Project Working Hours to include one (1) half-hour rest break to be taken without deduction of pay by Employees working the Project Working Hours on any day (Monday to Saturday inclusive).

  • DAYS AND HOURS OF WORK The standard workweek for workers occupying full-time positions consists of 40 hours unless otherwise specified by the Board of Supervisors. The appointing authority shall fix the hours of work with due regard for the convenience of the public and the laws of the State and the County. Workers occupying part-time positions shall work such hours and schedules as the Board and the appointing authority shall prescribe.
