Sick Days definition

Sick Days as used in this section means leave for personal illness, mental or behavioral health complications, pregnancy, birth, adoption, or placement for adoption, injury, quarantine, or serious illness or injury, or death in immediate family or household. “Immediate family” as used in this section means the Employee’s parent, spouse, child, brother, sister, grandparent, grandchild, parent-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, party to a civil union pursuant to 750 ILCS 75/10, and legal guardian. “Household” as used herein means any person who resides with the Employee.
Sick Days. The Union proposes five (5) paid sick days:
Sick Days. You are eligible for 10 sick days annually. For the balance of 2022, you will be eligible for 10 sick days. Executive Severance Policy: You will be an eligible participant under the executive severance policy which provides severance benefits to certain executives whose employment is involuntarily terminated by American Water for reasons other than cause, and other than in connection with a change of control. Examples of Sick Days in a sentence

  • At least 1 year of employment ten (10) days 5 years or more of employment fifteen (15) days 10 years of employment twenty (20) days Plus one Personal Day per year Sick Days: One day per Year.

  • To apply for Family Medical Hardship Leave, a teacher will fill out a Request for Transfer of Sick Days form and submit to the Committee Chair in a timely fashion.

  • A Member who uses more than five (5) consecutive Sick Days may be required to provide documentation, such as a statement from a health care provider, detailing the nature of the illness or injury necessitating the use.

  • Disciplinary action may be imposed on Members who misuse or abuse the use of Sick Days.

  • Teacher A B C Accumulated Sick Days 110 85 50 and # of days each donates is 8 3 5, and if 5 days are needed, they will be charged as follows: Teacher A would actually be charged only 2 donated days; the other 6 are not charged and remain in teacher A’s accumulated sick days.

  • As a form of recognition for contribution to the district, employees voluntarily separating or retiring or those subject to reduction in force after at least ten years of continuous employment in the district shall receive a severance allowance based upon the following schedule: Years of Employment Accumulated Sick Days Daily Rate Maximum Allowance To receive the severance allowance, intention to separate from the District must be presented in writing to the Superintendent.

  • Sick Days, Short-Term Illness Leave, compensating days, vacation days or any other time not worked shall not count as time worked for the purposes of computing overtime.

  • The total number of Sick Days available for use in a school year will be capped at 250.

  • Unused Personal Business Days will convert to Sick Days at the end of the fiscal year.


More Definitions of Sick Days

Sick Days means time away for medical reasons for 5 business days or less (or longer periods if approved by the Manager, Staff Experience); and

Sick Days and “Personal Days” means the period of time you are absent from work with pay because you or your immediate family (children, parents) are sick or disabled or because of an accident for which you are not entitled to compensation under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act. Sick leave in excess of five (5) days continuous absence may require medical certification to the Committee. ATTENDANCE NCENTIVE: The junior high school building principal will be paid an attendance incentive payment of five-hundred ($500) dollars per year for perfect attendance no later than July 31 immediately following the end of the fiscal year in which perfect attendance has been achieved. A deduction of one hundred ($100) dollars will be made from this attendance incentive pay for each absence up to a maximum of five (5) absences, at which point no incentive will be paid. Absences due to jury duty, personal leave and bereavement for any immediate family member as identified in the Swansea Educators Collective Bargaining Agreement shall not be considered an absence for the purpose of calculating attendance incentive pay.
Sick Days. The Assistant Superintendent shall receive twelve (12) sick days per fiscal year. All unused sick days as of June 30th of each year may be carried over to the next fiscal year and accumulated from year to year.

  • Work Days means judicial days (or a day when the court is open).

  • Weeks Pay' means the ordinary time rate of pay for the employee concerned:

  • Working Days means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday in England and Wales; and

  • School Days means actual school attendance days during the regular academic school year including a partial day that students are in attendance at school for instructional purposes as adopted by the district or governing body of the school not to include weekends, holidays, summer school, etc.

  • Days means calendar days.
