Sick Days definition

Sick Days as used in this section means leave for personal illness, mental or behavioral health complications, pregnancy, birth, adoption, or placement for adoption, injury, quarantine, or serious illness or injury, or death in immediate family or household. “Immediate family” as used in this section means the Employee’s parent, spouse, child, brother, sister, grandparent, grandchild, parent-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, party to a civil union pursuant to 750 ILCS 75/10, and legal guardian. “Household” as used herein means any person who resides with the Employee.
Sick Days. The Assistant Superintendent shall receive twelve (12) sick days per fiscal year. All unused sick days as of June 30th of each year may be carried over to the next fiscal year and accumulated from year to year.

  • A physician’s statement verifying the employee’s physical inability to perform his/her job functions will be provided by the employee for each period covered by Accumulated Sick Days (when required), FMLA, Extended Sick Leave and the period of Maternity/Paternity Leave which covers disability from pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

  • Failure to provide proper medical documentation may result in denial of Accumulated Sick Days, FMLA, and/or Extended Sick Leave (failure to report to work in the absence of proper documentation could be considered abandonment of job).

  • Accumulated Sick Days may only be used for periods of disability related to the pregnancy, delivery, or postpartum recovery.

Sick Days and “Personal Days” means the period of time you are absent from work with pay because you or your immediate family (children, parents) are sick or disabled or because of an accident for which you are not entitled to compensation under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act. Only 5 days can be used for your immediate family.
Sick Days. The junior high school building principal will be awarded 15 sick days at the beginning of each school year. Sick leave in excess of five (5) days continuous absence may require medical certification to the Committee.   • Work Days means judicial days (or a day when the court is open).

  • Weeks Pay' means the ordinary time rate of pay for the employee concerned:

  • Working Days means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday in England and Wales; and

  • School Days means days when school is in session for students.

  • Days means calendar days unless otherwise specified.

  • Sick Leave means the period of time an employee is absent from work by virtue of being sick or disabled or because of an accident not covered by Workers' Compensation.

  • Day/Days means calendar days, inclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

  • Lookback Days means such number of U.S. Government Securities Business Days as specified in the applicable Pricing Supplement;

  • Accrued Day(s) Off means the paid day(s) off accruing to an employee resulting from an entitlement to the 38 hour week as prescribed in Clause 6. - Hours of this award.

  • Vacation means annual vacation with pay.

  • Holidays are defined as New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

  • Paid sick leave – means paid leave under the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act.

  • Work Day means any day that an Employee is regularly scheduled to work and for which the Employee receives payment from the Employer.

  • Off-Peak Hours means those hours which are not On-Peak Hours.

  • Weeks pay means the ordinary weekly rate of wage for the employee concerned.

  • Peak Hours or “Peak Period” means the period with the highest ridership during the entire transit service day as determined by the transit operator. Must include at least one hour during the morning commute hours and one during evening commute hours, Monday through Friday. Each Peak Period cannot be longer than three hours.

  • Duty Days means all days during the taxable year from the beginning of the professional athletic team’s official preseason training period through the last game in which the team competes or is scheduled to compete.

  • Hours As used herein, the term "Hours" shall mean sequential sixty (60) minute time frames.

  • Contract Period means the period from the Commencement Date to:

  • Sickness means an illness or disease diagnosed or treated by a Physician.
