HOURS, OVERTIME AND PREMIUM PAY. ‌ A. General Provisions‌ 1. The work week starts on Monday and continues through Friday.‌ The workday begins with the start of the first shift and will consist of three (3) shifts as required within twenty-four (24) hours. The times for these shifts will be set by buildings at the beginning of the school year and will not vary for the remainder of the year. The Union will be given an opportunity for advisory input before shift changes are made. If the Union is not satisfied with the administrative decision on shift changes, after its opportunity for input, the Union may request a meeting with the Board and Superintendent. Work hours may be changed on days when school is not in session,‌ However, members must be given a twenty-four (24) hours’ notice. 2. Four Day Work Week – Summer Months‌ During the summer, employees will work a 4-day, 10-hour work week with Friday off. This begins the first full week after the last student day of the school year until the last full week prior to the first day of school. If a building is not able to work the 4 day 10 hours a day work week, the Union and Administration will meet and confer‌
