Common use of Immediate Family Clause in Contracts

Immediate Family. For the purposes of this Agreement, immediate family shall be defined as spouse, mother, mother-in-law, father, father-in-law, son, daughter, step-son, step- daughter, step-mother, step-father, brother, brother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparents and grandchildren, spouses grandparents, half-brother, half-sister and persons who stand in loco parentis.

Immediate Family. If a person does not meet the criteria above, spouses grandparents, half-brother, half-sister and persons who stand in loco parentisas “immediate family,” the staff member can petition the Superintendent for an exception.
