IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGE. SECTION 1. As appropriate, the Employer/Activity will provide the Council/Local Union with advance notification of new technology that substantially and directly impacts on working conditions of unit employees. Such notification shall include such information as the nature of the new technology and categories of employees that would be affected.

IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGE. Section 13-1. When the Employer determines that the implementation of new technology impacts on the working conditions of bargaining unit employees, the Employer will provide the Union with advance notification and an opportunity to bargain when appropriate. The notification should include information concerning the nature of the new technology and what employees would be affected by it.

However, when necessary to reduce staff, it shall be done as outlined in Article 6.01.
