Common use of In-Service Leave Clause in Contracts

In-Service Leave. 7.10.1 A unit member may be granted, by the Superintendent, paid leave each school year for the purpose of improving his/her performance. Such leave may be used to visit classes in other schools or to attend District approved workshops related to his/her performance.

In-Service Leave. 7.10.1 14.6.1 A unit member may may, with the recommendation of his/her principal, be granted, by the Superintendent, granted one (1) day of paid leave each school year for the purpose of improving his/her performance. The District may require the unit member to participate in such in-service activity. Such leave may be used to visit classes in other schools or to attend District approved workshops related to his/her performance.

Such leave may be used to visit classes in other schools or when available. Principal and Superintendent approval are prerequisites for granting this leave. A written report is to attend District approved workshops related be submitted to his/her performancethe principal within two (2) weeks. (Pertinent Ed. Codes 44962 and 44963).
