Common use of Inclement Weather/Emergency School Closing Clause in Contracts

Inclement Weather/Emergency School Closing. If the entire District is closed due to inclement weather or emergency closing, Employees in the Division that are actively employed at the time the first two (2) days occur, shall not be required to report and shall be paid for the days. If the supervisor requires an Employee to report, the Employee’s paid leave bank will be credited with an additional day. In the event the District is closed beyond two (2) days and make up of lost instructional time (students report or required professional development) does not equal the number of days the District is closed, Employees in this Division shall be able to deduct days from their paid leave bank during the pay period in which school is closed.
