Incumbent Worker Training is work-based training and up-skilling designed to ensure that employees of a company can acquire the skills necessary to retain employment and advance within the company, or to acquire the skills necessary to avert a layoff. Incumbent worker training is responsive to the special requirements of an employer or a group of employers in partnership with other entities for the purposes of delivering training to: • Help avert potential layoffs of employees; • Increase the skill levels of employees so they can be promoted within the company and create backfill opportunities for the employers

Incumbent Worker Training. The Regional Workforce Council will provide 20 currently employed technology workers from 14-20 small- and medium-sized firms with training and credentialing services, with referrals from the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership and Arlington Economic Development.

  • Child Care Leave (a) An employee who is a natural or adoptive parent shall be granted upon request in writing child care leave without pay for a period of up to thirty-five (35) weeks. The leave may be shared by the parents or taken wholly by one (1) parent.

  • Apprenticeship and Training It is agreed that all Employers covered by this Agreement shall contribute a sum as listed in Schedule "A" herein for each compensable man-hour of Carpenters, including supervisory employees when covered by this Agreement.   • Employee Training The Provider shall provide periodic security training to those of its employees who operate or have access to the system. Further, Provider shall provide LEA with contact information of an employee who LEA may contact if there are any security concerns or questions.
