Informal Verbal Counseling. A meeting between the employee and the immediate supervisor. Following the meeting, the supervisor may provide a written summary of the meeting to include an action plan, if desired. If there is insufficient improvement in performance after a reasonable amount of time, the Employer may proceed to Step 2. Any hearsay must be corroborated by investigation in order to move from Step 1 to Step 2.

  • Formal Counseling Formal counseling (may involve administrative personnel other than the employee’s immediate supervisor) including the development of a written action plan.

  • Individual Counseling Available provision of counseling techniques by a licensed clinician, a professional counsel or an intern whose work is directly supervised by a licensed clinician in a group setting.

  • Informal Grievance The aggrieved employee or group of employees or a representative of the Union shall orally present the grievance to the employee's Supervisor or his/her designated representative within five (5) standard working days following the occurrence of events on which the grievance is based. The Supervisor shall give his/her answer within five (5) standard working days of the date of presentation of the grievance. Grievance settlements at the informal level shall set no precedents in any future MOU interpretation.
