Initial Placement on Salary Guide. The parties understand and agree that the numbers assigned to vertical steps on the salary schedule do not necessarily correlate to the number of years of seniority or teaching experience. For purposes of initial placement on the salary schedule new hires will receive credit for their prior teaching or clinical experience only. The salaries of newly hired Employees will be determined using the Employee placement chart attached to this Agreement (Appendix B). No new hire may be offered a rate higher than a current Employee with equivalent credentials and experience.
