School Based Leadership Team. Bargaining Unit Employees who serve on a school’s School Based Leadership Team will receive a stipend equal to 3% of the B column , Step 1 pay from Appendix A. This team is an essential body outlined in Section 2121.1.b. of the Vermont Education Quality Standards and is a critical component of the CVSU Distributed Leadership Structure. The membership of each School Based Leadership Team shall include the building Principal or designee and up to six (6) employees appointed by the Principal from diverse content areas and grade levels within each school. The Principal shall notify teachers in the building of any vacancies on the Leadership Team so that they may have the opportunity to submit their names for consideration. One of the six (6) employees appointed by the principal may be a member of the support staff unit. The Principal may also appoint an additional administrator to the School Based Leadership Team. The stipend serves as compensation for up to four (4) hours of meetings and/or work per month outside the contracted workday during the school year and two (2) days (16 hours) of work during the summer recess. If substantially more work time is anticipated outside the regular teacher workday the Principal shall submit a detailed work plan and budget to the Superintendent for approval. No additional monies beyond the stipends herein described will be paid to members of the School Based Leadership Team without the prior written approval of the Superintendent. The School Based Leadership Team will: • include members from a diverse range of backgrounds, academic content areas and student age cohorts, • support the Principal in carrying out their responsibilities to improve student learning, • develop and monitor the Continuous Improvement Plan using academic/social emotional data, • serve as instructional leaders for Employees, • plan staff meetings and professional learning for their colleagues in collaboration with the Principal and/or other designated administrators, • organize and recommend safety procedures, • organize Universal and Statewide Assessments and • fulfill any other responsibilities identified by the team and/or delegated by the principal.

  • Peer Assistance and Review Program 1. MCEA and MCPS agree to jointly operate a Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Program. The PAR Program is a mechanism for maintaining systemwide quality control and ensuring that all MCPS teachers responsible for teaching students are functioning at or above the high MCPS standards of performance. It provides intensive assistance for any teacher who has not yet achieved that standard or who falls below acceptable standards. Assistance and review are provided to both experienced MCPS teachers in need of significant improvement and teachers in their first year of teaching.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with college/district policies and available resources.

  • Joint Labor/Management Committees Purpose and Membership. Joint Labor/Management Committees are established to provide a forum for communications and problem-solving between the two parties and to deal with matters of a general personnel Union/Employer concern, as well as professional practices within the hospital related to patient care and professional issues. The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads. The Committees’ function will be limited to an advisory capacity and shall not include any decision making or collective bargaining authority. Committee memberships:

  • Fingerprinting of Employees The Fingerprinting/Criminal Background Investigation Certification must be completed and attached to this Agreement prior to Consultant’s performing of any portion of the Services.

  • Using Student feedback in Educator Evaluation ESE will provide model contract language, direction and guidance on using student feedback in Educator Evaluation by June 30, 2013. Upon receiving this model contract language, direction and guidance, the parties agree to bargain with respect to this matter.

  • Technical Objections to Grievances It is the intent of both Parties of this Agreement that no grievance shall be defeated merely because of a technical error, other than time limitations in processing the grievance through the grievance procedure. To this end, an arbitration board shall have the power to allow all necessary amendments to the grievance and the power to waive formal procedural irregularities in the processing of a grievance, in order to determine the real matter in dispute and to render a decision according to equitable principles and the justice of the case.

  • Performance Measures and Metrics This section outlines the performance measures and metrics upon which service under this SLA will be assessed. Shared Service Centers and Customers will negotiate the performance metric, frequency, customer and provider service responsibilities associated with each performance measure. Measurements of the Port of Seattle activities are critical to improving services and are the basis for cost recovery for services provided. The Port of Seattle and The Northwest Seaport Alliance have identified activities critical to meeting The NWSA’s business requirements and have agreed upon how these activities will be assessed.
