Installation of New Monitoring Well and Gas Probes at Buena Vista Sample Clauses

Installation of New Monitoring Well and Gas Probes at Buena Vista. Two additional groundwater monitoring xxxxx and two additional gas probes are planned to be installed for Module 4B at the Buena Vista Landfill. Geosyntec will design and oversee installation of the new monitoring xxxxx and probes. The cost estimate includes time for: preparing a work plan for submittal to the RWQCB; obtaining the appropriate permits; preparing a site-specific health and safety plan; coordinating and scheduling a drilling subcontractor; marking the proposed well and probe locations and contacting USA drilling, installation and development of 2 groundwater monitoring xxxxx drilling and installation of 2 LFG probes preparing a report summarizing the installation Based on Geosyntec's previous experience installing monitoring xxxxx and landfill gas probes at the Buena Vista Landfill, we have assumed the borings will be drilled with a percussion hammer drill rig. We have assumed monitoring well MW-13, east of Module 4B, will be a 4-inch diameter well, approximately 130 feet deep and monitoring well MW-14, north of Module 4B, will be a 4-inch diameter well, approximately 100 feet deep. The landfill gas monitoring probes will be completed as tri-level probes, constructed in a similar manner as other gas probes at the site. The approximate screened intervals of the landfill gas probes are 10 - 20 feet below ground surface (bgs), 40 - 50 feet bgs, and 70 - 80 feet bgs. These depths were used in obtaining a cost estimate from the driller and may vary, depending on the findings in the field. The cost estimate does not include surveying the location and elevation of the new probes and xxxxx. Geosyntec will prepare a report that documents the gas probe and monitoring well installation. The report will include discussion of the geologic conditions encountered during drilling, monitoring well construction and development, gas probe construction, and results of initial sampling (to be performed by the County). The report will be reviewed by County personnel, prior to submittal to the RWQCB.

Installation of New Monitoring Well and Gas Probes at Buena Vista. The RWQCB has requested the installation of an additional monitoring well for Module 4A at the Buena Vista Landfill. GeoSyntec will install the new monitoring well. The cost estimate includes time for obtaining the appropriate permits, preparing a site-specific health and safety plan, coordinating and scheduling a drilling subcontractor, and completing the fieldwork. We have assumed a total well depth of approximately 140 feet, based on existing topography and historical water level elevations. Two additional gas probes are also required at the Buena Vista Landfill. The gas probes will have an approximate depth of 85-feet and will contain tri-level probes. The gas probes will be constructed in a similar manner as other gas probes at the site. A report that documents the gas probes and monitoring well installation and completion will be prepared and submitted to the County and the RWQCB. The cost estimate does not include surveying the location and elevation of the new probes and well.
