INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS & SUPPLIES. A. The Board will budget funds to the superintendent and staff to provide for the purchase of new and/or replacement textbooks, library books, other instructional materials, supplies, and equipment of sufficient quality and quantity to support the instructional program both during the regular school year and in summer school programs. The Board agrees to submit in its budget request for FY 11 through FY 14 no less than the dollar amount provided on a per pupil basis in the FY 10 through FY 13 budgets, respectively. 1. Instructional materials and supplies will be funded to maintain the present rate and to provide for increases in rate as needs indicate and as budget funding will allow. 2. The various programs of instruction supported by the Board will be funded according to purposes and needs. 3. At the time of initial allocation of the materials of instruction funds, a report to the principals of how these funds are allocated will be provided by the superintendent to the schools. 4. Summer school materials and supplies shall be funded in addition to the regular school allocation. An additional allocation will be made for summer school laboratory courses. B. Distribution of those materials of instruction funds allocated on a per pupil basis shall be based on the projected enrollment for the school year with the final allocation of these funds based on the actual enrollment on September 30. C. Unit members using personal funds to purchase materials and/or supplies with the advance approval of their principal or immediate supervisor will be reimbursed for the amount of the purchase upon submission of an appropriate receipt.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS & SUPPLIES. A. In so far as possible the District shall provide, in adequate time and adequate quantity, instructional materials for each student in each class so that each student and each bargaining unit member may attain their educational objectives. B. The District shall provide instructional supplies for bargaining unit members prior to the opening of the school year. Should a bargaining unit member’s instructional supply order be changed or eliminated, the bargaining unit member shall be advised and when possible the reason for the change or elimination shall be given. C. A well equipped, professionally staffed library is essential to the operation of a quality school. Under the direction of a certified librarian, processing books and materials can be accomplished by non-professionals. As the need exists and as the financial resources of the District permit, services and materials will be provided to establish and maintain desirable library facilities, using the American Library Association (A.L.A.) standards as a guideline.

  • Instructional Materials A. The Board recognizes that appropriate texts, library reference facilities, maps and globes, laboratory equipment, audio-visual equipment, art supplies, athletic equipment, current periodicals, standard tests and questionnaires, computers, and similar materials are the tools of the teaching profession. B. Efforts shall be continued to seek and use instructional materials which reflect the contribution and presence of diverse ethnic and cultural groups. C. 1. Selection of instructional materials for each school shall be made by a committee of teachers chosen by the faculty within that school.

  • Materials and Supplies The cost of materials and supplies is allowable. Purchases should be charged at their actual prices after deducting all cash discounts, trade discounts, rebates, and allowances received. Withdrawals from general stores or stockrooms should be charged at cost under any recognized method of pricing, consistently applied. Incoming transportation charges are a proper part of materials and supply costs.

  • Promotional Materials In the event that the Fund or the Adviser makes available any promotional materials related to the Securities or the transactions contemplated hereby intended for use only by registered broker-dealers and registered representatives thereof by means of an Internet web site or similar electronic means, the Adviser will install and maintain, or will cause to be installed and maintained, pre-qualification and password-protection or similar procedures which are reasonably designed to effectively prohibit access to such promotional materials by persons other than registered broker-dealers and registered representatives thereof.

  • Construction materials (1) The restrictions of section 1605 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Pub. L. 111-5) (Recovery Act) do not apply to Recovery Act designated country manufactured construction material. The restrictions of the Buy American statute do not apply to designated country unmanufactured construction material.   • CERTIFICATION OF NO ASBESTOS CONTAINING MATERIALS OR WORK 8.1 The Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring that no asbestos containing materials or work is included within the scope of the Work. The Contractor shall take whatever measures it deems necessary to insure that all employees, suppliers, fabricators, material men, subcontractors, or their assigns, comply with this requirement. 8.2 The Contractor shall ensure that Texas Department of Health licensed individuals, consultants or companies are used for any required asbestos work including asbestos inspection, asbestos abatement plans/specifications, asbestos abatement, asbestos project management and third-party asbestos monitoring.
