INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES. The Board shall provide within available revenue adequate supplies and textbooks and coordinate the ordering of supplies and materials with curriculum changes. Inadequacies of supplies, textbooks, and materials should be reported by the teacher, in writing to the principal, with a copy to the Superintendent.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES. Within the constraints of the district budget, the Board will allocate sufficient funds to provide for the purchase and/or replacement of textbooks, library books, instructional materials, supplies and equipment of sufficient quality and quantity to enable members to fulfill their teaching responsibilities in an adequate and professional manner both during the regular school year and in summer school programs.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES. 031 A bargaining unit member may consult with his/her Building Principal or Department Chairperson regarding supply requests for the following school year. Departmental Chair-persons or other designated bargaining unit members shall meet with the Building Principal to help develop the proposed building supply budget. A timeline for budgetary matters, including the opportunity for input, shall be developed/distributed to all bargaining unit members.

The Vinton County Local Board of Education will allocate sufficient funds, when available, to provide for the purchase and/or replacement of textbooks, library books, instructional materials, supplies and equipment of sufficient quality and quantity to enable teachers to fulfill their teaching responsibilities in an adequate and professional manner during the school year.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES. The Board will make available to the individual school, an appropriation in the 2316 account based on the enrollment in the individual school. All local funds allocated for instructional materials and supplies (2316) and that portion of special state funds not designated to the individual teacher will be distributed as determined jointly by the administration and the FAC. Consideration shall be given to the needs of each department, grade level, program, office, etc. Correspondence concerning instructional material and supply funds (2316) and state funds will be distributed to the building principals, FAC Chair and the Association. The plan for ordering and distributing supplies and materials from the 2316 fund shall be included in the written policies of the local school. (2009) The Board agrees to provide an amount equal to the special state funds to each itinerant teacher, librarian and guidance counselor. Expenditures from the division's fund will be determined jointly by the administration and the FAC. Funds will be distributed as described in the above paragraph. (2009)

Teachers shall be advised of any of his/her requisitions that are not approved as soon as possible after such determination.
B. Requisitions for supplies and/or materials shall first be submitted to the Building Principal, then submitted to the Superintendent or designee for consideration and approval. The Superintendent or designee shall grant or deny the written requisition within ten (10) school days of its receipt from the Building Principal.
C. Subject to the approval of the Building Principal and the Superintendent or designee pursuant to the forgoing paragraphs, each full-time employee shall be allocated Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) for instructional supplies and materials during each school year of this Agreement. Reimbursements will be paid during the pay period following receipt of submission.

D. Safety equipment will be provided for custodial/maintenance staff. A yearly reimbursement of $50.00 will be provided for non-skid work boots and/or safety shoes upon presentation of sales receipt. In addition goggles, headgear, facemask, work gloves and rubber gloves will be provided.
