INTERIM SERVICES. Interim services must be provided as defined by the MDHHS Office of Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (OROSC) Access Management System (Attachment P4.1.1 of MDHHS/PIHP Master Agreement) .
INTERIM SERVICES. All persons who are not admitted into RTS shall be referred to Interim 7 Services by CONTRACTOR. Interim Services shall be provided until an individual is admitted to 8 residential treatment program. The purposes of the services are to reduce the adverse health effects of 9 such abuse, promote the health of the individual, and reduce the risk of transmission of disease. At a 10 minimum, Interim Services include counseling and education about HIV and TB, about the risks of 11 needle-sharing, the risks of transmission to sexual partners and infants, and about steps that can be taken 12 to ensure that HIV and TB transmission does not occur, as well as referral for HIV or TB treatment 13 services if necessary. CONTRACTOR shall provide Clients, especially opiate users, with drug overdose 14 education/information. For pregnant women, Interim Services include counseling on the effects of 15 alcohol and drug use on the fetus, as well as referrals for prenatal care. Provision of Interim Services 16 shall be documented on the XXXXX and reported monthly to the State.
17 I. SERVICES – CONTRACTOR shall provide a non-institutional, twenty-four (24) hour non- 18 medical, short-term residential program that provides rehabilitation services to beneficiaries in 19 accordance with an individualized treatment plan. These services are intended to be individualized to 20 treat the functional deficits identified in the ASAM Criteria. In the residential treatment environment, an 21 individual’s functional cognitive deficits may require treatment that is primarily slower paced, more 22 concrete and repetitive in nature. The daily regimen and structured patterns of activities are intended to 23 restore cognitive functioning and build behavioral patterns within a community. Each Client shall live 24 on the premises and shall be supported in their efforts to restore, maintain and apply interpersonal and 25 independent living skills and access community support systems. CONTRACTORs and residents work 26 collaboratively to define barriers, set priorities, establish goals, create treatment plans, and solve

All persons who are not admitted into Substance Use Disorder 11 Outpatient treatment within fourteen (14) calendar days due to lack of capacity, and who place their 12 names on the waiting list for admission, shall be provided interim services. Interim services shall 13 consist of: TB counseling, voluntary testing, referral for medical evaluation, if appropriate; and HIV 14 education, HIV risk assessment and disclosure counseling and voluntary confidential HIV antibody 15 testing. For pregnant women, interim services shall also include counseling on the effects of alcohol 16 and drugs on the developing fetus and referral to prenatal medical care services. Interim services may 17 be provided directly or by referral to ADMINISTRATOR or another appropriate provider and given to 18 prospective Participants within 48 hours. Provision of interim services for persons with alcohol and/or 19 other drug problems, who could otherwise be admitted into substance use disorder outpatient treatment, 20 shall be documented on the XXXXX and reported monthly to the State.
INTERIM SERVICES. 18.1 When any person referred to or seeking services from CONTRACTOR cannot be admitted within five (5) days due to non-availability of capacity, CONTRACTOR shall refer the person to the nearest COUNTY Substance Abuse Program Outpatient facility for interim treatment. Pursuant to 45 CFR 96/SAPTBG contract, CONTRACTOR shall make available interim services not later than 48 hours after a woman (pregnant only) seeks treatment when treatment is not available.

Any DMC Client participating in Outpatient or Intensive Outpatient treatment not admitted within ten (10) calendar days due to lack of capacity, and who place their names on the waiting list for admission, shall be provided interim services. Interim services shall consist of: Voluntary testing, referral for medical evaluation, if appropriate; and HIV education, HIV risk assessment and disclosure counseling and voluntary confidential HIV antibody testing. For pregnant women, interim services shall also include counseling on the effects of alcohol and drugs on the developing fetus and referral to prenatal medical care services. Interim services may be provided directly or by referral to ADMINISTRATOR or another appropriate provider and given to prospective Clients within Forty-eight (48) hours. Provision of interim services for DMC covered Client with alcohol and/or other drug problems, who could otherwise be admitted into substance use disorder outpatient treatment, shall be documented in IRIS and reported monthly by the fifth (5th) business day or as determined by ADMINISTRATOR.

Interim services shall consist of: tuberculosis (TB) 15 counseling, voluntary testing, referral for medical evaluation, if appropriate, and HIV education, 16 HIV risk assessment and disclosure counseling and voluntary confidential HIV antibody testing. For 17 pregnant women, interim services shall also include counseling on the effects of alcohol and drugs on 18 the developing fetus; and referral to prenatal medical care services. Interim services may be provided 19 directly or by referral to the COUNTY or another appropriate provider. Provision of interim services 20 shall be documented on the XXXXX and reported monthly to the State Department of Alcohol and Drug 21 Programs.
INTERIM SERVICES. Provide interim services to pregnant women. Provide the following services no later than 48 business hours after a pregnant woman seeks treatment. These services will be provided whether or not the individual is admitted to the contractors program. At a minimum interim services includes counseling and education about:
1. HIV and TB;
2. The risk of needle sharing;
3. The risk of transmission to sexual partners and infants;
4. Steps that can be taken to ensure that transmission does not occur;
5. Referral for HIV or TB treatment if necessary; and
6. Counseling on the effects of alcohol and drug use on the fetus as well as referral for prenatal care.
INTERIM SERVICES. Women who are not admitted into a residential program within 29 fourteen (14) calendar days due to lack of capacity, and who place their names on the waiting list for 30 admission, shall be provided interim services. Interim services shall consist of: TB counseling, 31 voluntary testing, referral for medical evaluation, if appropriate; and HIV education, HIV risk 32 assessment and disclosure counseling and voluntary confidential HIV antibody testing. For pregnant 33 women, interim services shall also include counseling on the effects of alcohol and drugs on the 34 developing fetus; and referral to prenatal medical care services. Interim services may be provided 35 directly or by referral to the COUNTY or another appropriate provider. and given to prospective 36 Provision of interim services shall be documented on the XXXXX and 37 reported monthly to the State.
