Job Share Compensation. Each employee’s salary shall be prorated. The salary schedule step for each employee shall be the same as they would be entitled to if employed on a full time basis. This step shall determine the base salary from which the salary fraction will be computed. Seniority shall accrue to an employee in a job sharing position on a prorated basis. Sick leave and personal leave shall be prorated. Fringe benefits will be prorated. In the event that a job-sharing employee is employed at less than fifty percent (50%), they may not be eligible for health insurance or the retirement program. Unusual Circumstances
Job Share Compensation. Each employee will be paid the hourly rate of pay of the established salary for the position. Due to seniority, two (2) Employees may be paid at different steps in the salary grade, however. Whenever one (1) Employee works during vacation, sick leave or other absence of the second Employee, the working Employee w ill receive additional compensation at the regular rate of pay for excess hours worked up to forty (40) hours in one (1) week. Any hours worked beyond forty (40) in one (1) week will be compensated at time and one-half (1.5).
