Common use of Joint Educational Training and Retraining Committee Clause in Contracts

Joint Educational Training and Retraining Committee. There shall be a Joint Training and Retraining Committee consisting of equal number of representatives of the Company and the Union. They shall administer and supervise training of apprentices and retraining of journeypersons. The Committee shall be responsible for the training of apprentices and retraining of journeypersons who may be or are displaced because their jobs were affected by technological changes. If the apprentice or journeypersons to be retrained feels that the Agreement has not been observed, and he/she has not been able to obtain satisfaction, he/she may appeal to the Committee for disposition.
