Joint Investigations. 5.1 If a case falls within the Functions of both parties, the parties may agree to commence a joint investigation in order to minimize the duplication of effort, and enhance the efficient use of their respective resources as well as the effectiveness of the investigation.
5.2 Once the parties have commenced a joint investigation, they will set up a joint task force and decide on its membership to ensure efficient and timely exchange of information and coordination. The joint investigation task force will convene an initial coordination meeting as soon as practicable to formulate investigation plans, determine investigatory responsibilities and coordinate the collection of evidence. The joint investigation task force will also convene meetings at agreed regular intervals to review the progress of the joint investigation and discuss the action to be taken during or at the conclusion of the joint investigation.
Joint Investigations. To the greatest extent possible, HUD and USDA shall cooperate in the conduct of investigations involving alleged discrimination under the Fair Housing Act. HUD shall coordinate any joint investigation. At a minimum, such cooperation shall include:
(A) Timely notice to the other department of any site visit;
(B) Consultation with the other department regarding approaches to the investigation; (C) Forwarding to the other department a copy of the accepted complaint, together with notes from the interviews conducted in the development of the complaint and preliminary investigation, subject to the provisions of Part 7, above; and,
Joint Investigations. 4.1 Where an environmental occurrence arises, which involves suspected violations of both CEPA and EMPA, CAA or ODSCA, officials from EC and SERM will liaise and mutually agree on:
1. which party will be the lead party and lead the investigation of the environmental occurrence; and
2. the role which the other Party, the support party, will carry out in support of the lead party.
4.2 The lead party will provide to the support party at intervals agreed upon by the Parties, and at the conclusion of the investigation, access to all information obtained during the investigation, including investigation reports, analytical data, records, statements and physical evidence, on the understanding that its confidentiality requirements will be fully respected.
4.3 The support party will carry out its role as mutually agreed upon by the Parties and provide all information, data and assistance to the lead party in accordance with its role.
4.4 At the conclusion of any investigation into an environmental occurrence or series of environmental occurrences involving a suspected violation of both CEPA and EMPA, CAA or ODSCA, Parties will meet to hold a debriefing session and to decide upon the enforcement action, if any, that is most appropriate to take in respect of the investigation.
4.5 Each Party reserves the right to proceed unilaterally in the taking of enforcement action in response to a suspected violation, if it determines that the principles of its policies on enforcement and compliance will not be fulfilled through the other Party's action. In such cases, the relevant information including investigation reports, analytical data, records, statements and physical evidence, in the possession of each Party shall be provided, on written request, to the other Party.
4.6 Press releases pertaining to enforcement actions taken at the conclusion of joint investigations may be prepared and issued jointly by the Parties.
Joint Investigations. 1. Police Service of Northern Ireland and the Garda Síochána shall, as appropriate, make full use of existing arrangements for facilitating joint investigations and additional arrangements that are put in place in the context of European Union developments.
2. An expert group shall be established by both Governments to review the existing arrangements and to make recommendations on legal and administrative measures that could be taken to facilitate further the operation of joint Police Service of Northern Ireland and Garda Síochána investigations.
Joint Investigations. In circumstances involving conflicts between employees the parties generally support the concept of joint investigations. In the conduct of such joint investigations the parties agree to make themselves available to participate in a timely fashion and to share information as soon as possible after the precipitating event. Notwithstanding the joint investigation of such conflicts, management reserves the right to manage and the union right to represent its members.
Joint Investigations. The Authorities acknowledge that, subject to secrecy and confidentiality issues, an investigation, where it concerns suspected breaches of the Applicable Laws, Regulations and Requirements of both jurisdictions, may be conducted more effectively by the establishment of a joint investigation involving members from both Authorities.
Joint Investigations. The parties agree that the committee co-chairs or their designates shall participate in all investigations of serious injuries and incidents at the work site.
