Chief Shop Xxxxxxx. The Employer and the Union agree to recognize a Chief Shop Xxxxxxx.

Chief Shop Xxxxxxx. 6.2.1. The national organizations and unions that are party to this agreement are authorized to jointly hire a representative for the position of a chief shop xxxxxxx of the workers at a development site towards the contractors and the buyer. 6.2.2. The national organizations and the unions pay the wages of the chief shop xxxxxxx. 6.2.3. The buyer provides the chief shop xxxxxxx with meals, a satisfactory work facility, i.e. an office with the necessary furniture, a telephone and an Internet-linked computer. If the chief shop xxxxxxx has a permanent presence at the development site, the buyer shall provide him with a room. 6.2.4. The chief shop xxxxxxx has the same position as the employee’s shop xxxxxxx in respect of meetings with the workers and access to the development site/employee camp. 6.2.5. Contractors should contact the chief shop xxxxxxx or the shop stewards of the trade unions if a chief shop xxxxxxx has not been hired, if they receive information about circumstances that could result in problems or disagreement. By the same token, the chief shop xxxxxxx shall contact the contractors in such instances. In the absence of a solution, the matter shall be referred to the Permanent Committee. 6.2.6. The chief shop xxxxxxx may be requested tasks applying to other major development projects at the same time.
Chief Shop Xxxxxxx. The Union will select and the Company shall recognize, a Chief Shop Xxxxxxx who shall be a Grand Villa Surveillance Employee. The Chief Shop Xxxxxxx shall attend to Union business as required and as necessary for the administration of the collective agreement and shall be given free access to this location for these purposes. The Chief Shop Xxxxxxx shall be permitted to attend all meetings related to bargaining unit members if requested.
Chief Shop Xxxxxxx. (a) The Chief Shop Xxxxxxx shall be elected by the bargaining unit members at PCL and the election shall be conducted by the Local Union in accordance with its bylaws and as outlined in the Unifor Constitution. The employee holding the elected Chief Shop Xxxxxxx position or their designate will be authorized to leave work to perform Union duties without loss of pay or any other benefit including normally scheduled progressions or opportunities, in accordance with the following table: Number of Chief Shop Xxxxxxx Hours Allowed Per Week Hours required for Union business greater than the above shall be paid based on mutual agreement. (b) The Chief Shop Xxxxxxx shall attend to Union business as required and as necessary for the administration of the collective agreement and shall be given free access to the premises for these purposes. The Chief Shop Xxxxxxx shall be permitted to attend all meetings related to bargaining unit members if requested. The Chief Shop Xxxxxxx shall be eligible to sign-up for voluntary overtime in line with the applicable provisions of the agreement and their normal seniority.
Chief Shop Xxxxxxx. The Employer agrees that the CUPE Area National Representative may attend as a Union Representative when requested by the Bargaining Unit provided sufficient notice is given to enable the Employer to arrange the representatives it wishes to have present.
Chief Shop Xxxxxxx. The Parties recognize that timely resolution of disputes is key for a successful transition and is key to the well-being of employees; therefore, the Parties agree that there will be one chief shop xxxxxxx appointed by the Union to represent bargaining unit employees in the Outside, Office and Engineering, and the Generation Collective Bargaining Agreements. The following provisions shall apply to the chief shop xxxxxxx:

Chief Shop Xxxxxxx. The Union will be represented by two Chief Shop Stewards; one each for the Harbor Drive and Kearny Mesa facilities. (A) Each Chief Shop Xxxxxxx shall be assigned to the first (day) shift at their respective facilities. Upon request of the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx(s), he/she may elect to have his/her shift start time occur up to one (1) hour earlier or later than the regular day shift start time provided this is considered his/her normal shift assignment. In addition, by mutual agreement, the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx shall be allowed to have a different shift start time on an occasional basis provided that: (a) This different shift start time does not occur more than four (4) times in any month and; (b) He/she has received approval from Human Resources Department at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the shift start time. (B) Each Chief Shop Xxxxxxx shall have jurisdiction over all Union representatives referred to in Section 4.01 (except the Business Representative) on all shifts at his/her respective facility. However, it is understood between the parties that the Chief Shop Stewards will not get involved in the Union Safety Representative's responsibilities on a day-to-day basis. (C) At his/her facility, the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx will be assigned to a classification listed in Appendix "A" and shall perform work in that classification. In addition, the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx will handle all day-to-day Union business arising out of this Agreement as it applies to employee/Union complaints and grievances pertaining to wages, hours and working conditions. When not performing work in his/her assigned classification, the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx may spend up to three (3) hours at the end of his/her regularly scheduled shift, if necessary on Union business as described above. This shall include time spent with employees, Stewards, the assigned Business Representative, Human Resources personnel, or management. The Chief Shop Xxxxxxx may spend more than three (3) hours on Union business in any single day provided such time beyond three (3) hours has been authorized by the Human Resources department. In no case shall the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx be eligible for more than eight (8) hours pay while conducting Union business in any regularly scheduled workday unless approved by the Human Resources department. (D) The Chief Shop Xxxxxxx will be compensated by the Company at the maximum rate of his/her assigned classification as long as he/she holds the position. At such time as he/she is no...
Chief Shop Xxxxxxx. The Union will select and the Company shall recognize one (1) Chief Shop Xxxxxxx who shall be a Servantage employee. The Chief Shop Xxxxxxx shall attend to Union business as required and shall be automatically booked off work on Union leave with pay by the Company on the days that they request for twenty (20) hours per week and as necessary for the administration of the Collective Agreement and shall be given access to all branches and buildings and offices for these purposes (subject to any bona-fide client security requirements). The Chief Shop Xxxxxxx shall be permitted to attend all meetings related to bargaining unit members if requested. The Chief Shop Xxxxxxx shall not be laid off or have any reduction or freezing in hours, pay, seniority or any other benefit during their term of office. The Company agrees that the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx shall receive all existing benefits as per their classification and will be paid while booked off on Union leave based on their hourly classification rate plus any premiums that he or she normally earns. The Chief Shop Xxxxxxx will advise the Company of their intended automatic weekly Union hours for the following month on a monthly basis.
Chief Shop Xxxxxxx. The chief shop xxxxxxx shall have reasonable time when necessary to administer grievances but this shall not be abused nor shall it interfere with the normal operations of the Department. Any time taken shall be on advance notice to the sanitation supervisor.
