Joint management arrangements. The provided police officers will be managed and accountable within their respective BCU chain of commands, however, there will be requests and guidance provided in relation to delivery of youth offending service functions provided by the dedicated YOS Operations Manager in line with agreed joint working protocol. Quarterly three-way meetings will take place between the Enfield YOS Police Sergeant, their supervisor and the YOS Operations Manager to review performance against any relevant YOS Plan objectives in line with this SLA. These meetings will also be used to raise any operational issues or training needs that cannot be resolved in the normal line of command. Performance or operational issues that need to be resolved will be raised jointly with the Youth YOS Operations Manger and the Police Sergeant in the first instance. If these cannot be resolved, then this will be escalated to Enfield YOS Head of Service and the Police Inspector. Absence and sickness will be managed by the Police Sergeant with the expectation that the YOS Operations Manager is kept informed of absences and there is cover arranged where possible.
