Joint Mission Statement. To promote and sustain vibrant undergraduate and graduate student bodies, Mines recognizes the need for strong and independent respective student governments. Mines is recognized as a global leader in undergraduate education, the Mines undergraduate experience is largely demarcated by a plethora of vibrant traditions and experiences. As the undergraduate government, ASCSM is primarily focused on forging a positive undergraduate experience by creating and maintaining a variety of student clubs and organizations, sustaining campus traditions such as Engineering Days, and offering engaging events and activities for students. ASCSM and GSA affirm that graduates do participate in the aforementioned clubs, organizations, and activities, but to an expected lesser extent. As the graduate government, GSA is primarily focused on creating a world-class research infrastructure for graduate students. While some GSA initiatives, such as Family Assistance Grants, focus on bettering graduate student life, GSA’s primary foci are on providing avenues of development for graduate writing and presentation abilities; global opportunities to present research at conferences/professional meetings, and on-campus events; fora of communication and learning for Mines graduate students; and financial and research support for graduate research students, as deemed appropriate by the GSA. GSA acknowledges that undergraduate research is a tremendous value of and for Mines, and will work as deemed appropriate to xxxxxx such experiences for undergraduate students.

Theological Considerations We affirm together the following scriptural basis of relationship: There is one body and one Spirit – just as you were called to one hope when you were called – one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace has been given as Xxxxxx has apportioned it. (Ephesians 4: 4 – 7) We affirm together that each congregation and Church is of God and has been enjoined and empowered by him to share in His redemptive work in our community and world through our Savior, the Lord Xxxxx Xxxxxx. We believe that we can share together under Xxxxxx and this covenant in the purpose and work of our ministry. Covenant Affirmation Whereas the Church, herein known as “Guest Church”, has met together and agreed to enter in covenant with the Session of the Church of , NJ, herein known as the “Host Church”, believing that both congregations can be supportive of each other in the common cause of Xxxxx Xxxxxx, and recognizing the Host Church as another body of Xxxxxx with whom it shares the same basic purpose, and remembering its distinctive heritage and affiliations as diverse but compatible; And whereas, the Session of the Host Church has met together and agreed to enter into covenant with the Guest Church, believing that both congregations can be supportive of each other in the common cause of Xxxxx Xxxxxx, and recognizing the Guest Church as another body of Xxxxxx with whom it shares the same basic purpose. We, the Host Church and Guest Church enter into this shared facilities covenant. Potential Benefits and Impact Upon Each Church This covenant is established to affirm our commitment to the mutual support of the purpose, community relationships, and general welfare of each Church. We recognize that this relationship will bring some mutual benefit to each congregation. We pledge ourselves to support one another in love, prayer, and through positive representation to the community of each congregation. Under this covenant relationship, while fulfilling the goals of our respective churches in serving the Lord, we will carefully avoid any harmful attitudes, or activities, that would allow a competitive attitude and/or proselytizing, or any other activity that would harm either our ministry or relationship. We agree to support one another through regular prayer and keeping the spirit of this covenant.
