Common use of Judicial Leave Clause in Contracts

Judicial Leave. a. Unit members will be provided leave for regularly called jury duty and to appear as a witness in court, other than as a litigant, for reasons not brought about through the connivance or misconduct of the unit member. The unit member shall submit a written request and an official copy of notice to serve or appear as a witness for an approved absence no less than ten (10) days prior to the beginning date of the leave or as a witness. If the unit member does not have ten (10) or more days notice, notice shall be provided the District within three (3) days of receipt thereof.

Judicial Leave. a. 10.8.1 Unit members will be provided leave for regularly called jury duty and to appear as a witness in court, other than that as a litigant, for reasons not brought about through the connivance or misconduct of the unit member.
