Common use of Jury Duty and Subpoena Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty and Subpoena. Leave of absence with pay and benefits shall be granted for jury duty. The employee shall notify the District when notification to serve on jury duty is received. Any compensation received for jury duty performed during working hours shall be reimbursed to the District business office. Leaves of absence with pay and benefits shall be granted when an employee is subpoenaed to appear in court, provided the leave shall be without pay if the employee is a plaintiff in an action against the District. If any witness fees are paid, that amount shall be reimbursed to the District business office.
