Common use of Jury Duty Compensation Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty Compensation. When an employee is called for and serves on jury duty, that employee shall, during such service period, receive full regular compensation from the Port, less any compensation received from the court for such service (excluding travel, meals, or other expenses). Port compensation for service on jury duty only applies to absence from regularly scheduled work hours. Employees shall forward their jury duty compensation paid by the court to the Port’s payroll section upon return from jury duty and receipt of the compensation paid by the court. Hours compensated for jury duty service will be paid at the straight time rate.
