Jury Duty (Full and Part-Time. If an employee is required to serve as a juror or attend jury selection proceedings in any matter, or is subpoenaed as a witness in a Hospital related court proceeding, the Employer agrees to pay to the employee the difference between the money received for acting as a juror or witness, not including the travelling expenses which the employee will retain for her own use, the same to be evidenced by production of the court payment and a copy of the summons or subpoena, and the pay at the employee’s basis rate (plus shift premium if applicable) which the employee would have received if she had not been required to serve as a juror or witness, and had worked her normal shift, provided that this clause shall not be construed to permit an employee to recover the equivalent of overtime pay.
