LEARNER PROFILES. 5.1. Eligibility to create a Learner Profile: 5.1.1. You are a natural person. 5.1.2. You are 18 years of age or older. 5.1.3. You are directly or indirectly engaged in the Target Industry. 5.1.4. You are domiciled, for tax purposes, in an Approved Country. 5.1.5. You are not precluded under any Cypriot Law from creating and using a Learner Profile. 5.1.6. You are not precluded by MOTI from creating a Learner Profile.

LEARNER PROFILES. Student actions, reflections and personal development as related to behavior are guided by the IB Learner Profiles as described below. Responsible AISB students are expected to take ownership of their actions and the consequences that accompany them. Principled AISB students are expected to act with integrity, honesty, and a strong sense of fairness, justice, and respect for themselves and others. Caring AISB students are expected to be open-minded, empathetic, compassionate and respectful towards the needs and feelings of others. They are expected to make a positive difference through service acts at AISB and/or the wider community.. Thinkers AISB students are expected to apply thinking skills, critically and creatively, to recognize and approach complex problems, make reasoned, ethical decisions, and find solutions for the benefit of AISB students and the AISB community. Communicators AISB students are expected to understand and express ideas and information confidently in an effort to problem solve conflict and ensure a safe AISB community. Students will express opinions in a respectful and non-threatening manner. AISB staff and administration are responsible for enforcing a firm, fair, and consistent discipline policy. Students are encouraged to develop positive qualities and strategies of self-discipline. The entire school is engaged in teaching and practicing the IB Learner Profiles and appropriate behaviors that promote a safe and caring school environment. Students will be responsible for complying with AISB School Behavioral Agreements in the classroom, in the theater, on the playground, in the cafeteria, on the bus, and within the context of all other school-related activities. Each student is held responsible for his or her actions when under the supervision of school personnel. Outside the hours of 7:55 am to 3:00 pm, parents or guardians are expected to adhere to all policies and procedures in this document. The parents, teachers, students, and administration at AISB work together to immediately address the problems and to help the child exercise responsibility and ethical behavior in the future. In addition, teachers and students work together to build classroom community rules and expectations. These are in line with the school‘s behavior agreements.
