In school years when there are more emergency days lost than permitted by the school calendar, those excess days must be made up at times specified by the superintendent . PPWs and school psychologists housed in school-based offices may request to use the teleworking option on days when schools are closed due to emergency situations, consistent with expec- tations for teleworking . This request may be made in anticipation of an emergency closing . Other 12-month unit members are expected to report for duty when schools are closed, or take annual leave, unless the su- perintendent has announced that the central office is closed . When an individual school is closed because of local emergency conditions, individual unit members in the school may be required to work if they are needed— ■ to supervise and/or provide for the safety of the students, or ■ to prepare for continuation of the instructional program when there has been damage to instruc- tional environment in classrooms, or ■ to relocate and/or continue the instructional program at an alternate site, or ■ to prepare for testing or other date specific activities that necessitate the unit member’s presence in the building . Otherwise, unit members will be granted emergency leave and they will be expected to complete their other professional duties . Unit members will not be asked to remain in a work location that poses a serious health or safety risk .

  • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.

  • CONDITIONS FOR EMERGENCY/HURRICANE OR DISASTER - TERM CONTRACTS It is hereby made a part of this Invitation for Bids that before, during and after a public emergency, disaster, hurricane, flood, or other acts of God that Orange County shall require a “first priority” basis for goods and services. It is vital and imperative that the majority of citizens are protected from any emergency situation which threatens public health and safety, as determined by the County. Contractor agrees to rent/sell/lease all goods and services to the County or other governmental entities as opposed to a private citizen, on a first priority basis. The County expects to pay contractual prices for all goods or services required during an emergency situation. Contractor shall furnish a twenty-four (24) hour phone number in the event of such an emergency.

  • Scaling Locations, Rules, and Organizations All logs from timber sold under the terms and conditions of this contract shall be: (1) scaled at a location approved in writing by STATE; (2) scaled by a third-party scaling organization with a current agreement with STATE; and (3) scaled using the Official Log Scaling and Grading Rules (as adopted by the Northwest Log Rules Advisory Group) and STATE special service scaling instructions in effect at the time the logs are scaled. Utilization scale shall be handled in accordance with the section titled, “Utilization Scale.” PURCHASER shall enter into a written agreement with a third-party scaling organization for the scaling of logs removed from the timber sale area. PURCHASER shall furnish STATE with a copy of the scaling agreement upon request. If logs are delivered when a TPSO scaler is not present, PURCHASER must provide STATE with a method to assure protection and accountability. PURCHASER shall provide STATE with remote check scaling opportunities for logs scaled under this contract. The last two loads at each delivery point shall be continuously available for checking. They shall remain available for a minimum of 48 hours unless replaced by other STATE loads. They shall be available as originally presented for scaling; i.e., if truck scaled, they shall be presented in bunks. In the event scaling is suspended for any reason, hauling operations shall be immediately suspended until approved alternate scaling services are provided, or service by the scaling organization is resumed.

  • Teaching Staff Assigned to More Than One Building Each Educator who is assigned to more than one building will be evaluated by the appropriate administrator where the individual is assigned most of the time. The principal of each building in which the Educator serves must review and sign the evaluation, and may add written comments. In cases where there is no predominate assignment, the superintendent will determine who the primary evaluator will be.

  • Outpatient emergency and urgicenter services within the service area The emergency room copay applies to all outpatient emergency visits that do not result in hospital admission within twenty-four (24) hours. The urgicenter copay is the same as the primary care clinic office visit copay.

  • Time Off for Union Activities A. Conventions and Conferences Union-designated employees may be allowed time off without pay to attend union-sponsored conventions or conferences. Approval for the time off must be granted in advance of the absence and in accordance with the Employer’s leave policies. Approval will not be granted if the absence interferes with the Employer’s ability to provide coverage during the requested time off or the operating needs of the agency cannot be met.

  • Leave of Absence for College Committees An employee whose assigned work schedule would prevent her/him from attending meetings of a college committee to which s/he has been elected or appointed, will be granted a leave of absence from her/his regular duties without loss of pay or other entitlements to attend such meeting(s). Where such leave is granted, the employer will replace the employee as necessary. Costs arising from this provision will not be charged against the program area of the participating employee.

  • Conversion of Live Telephone Exchange Service to Analog 2W Loops The following coordination procedures shall apply to “live” cutovers of VERIZON Customers who are converting their Telephone Exchange Services to SPRINT Telephone Exchange Services provisioned over Analog 2W unbundled Local Loops (“Analog 2W Loops”) to be provided by VERIZON to SPRINT.
