Common use of Leave for Medical/Dental Care Clause in Contracts

Leave for Medical/Dental Care. Where adequate Medical/Dental facilities are not available, employees shall be allowed to deduct from their credit described in Clause 17.1, the necessary time including travel and treatment time up to a maximum of three (3) days to receive Medical/Dental care at the centre so requested by their Doctor/Dentist, for the employee, spouse, dependent child or dependent parent permanently residing in the employees household or with whom the employee permanently resides. The Employer may request a Certificate of a qualified Medical or Dental Practitioner, as the case may be, stating that treatment could not be provided by facilities or services locally.
