Common use of Leave for Union Duties Clause in Contracts

Leave for Union Duties. It is agreed that official representatives of the Union be granted leave of absence, without pay, to attend Union Conventions or perform any other function on behalf of the Union and its affiliation, provided not more than five (5) Union representatives shall be away at any one time and not more than two (2) representatives shall be away at any one time from any one department. Such leave of absence shall not affect the employee’s seniority and/or benefits contained in this Agreement.
