Leave Substitution. Teachers will substitute accrued vacation, personal leave, sick leave, or other qualifying leave for all or part of any otherwise unpaid FMLA. This qualifying paid leave will be counted as part of the teachers twelve (12) weeks of FMLA leave entitlement. However, the use of paid leave by the teacher under circumstances which do not qualify as family medical leave cannot be counted against the twelve (12) weeks of FMLA leave to which the teacher is entitled.
