Common use of Leave With Pay Clause in Contracts

Leave With Pay. Leave with pay can be agreed to allow the employee to pursue other job options inside or outside the University for an agreed time period. This leave with pay forms part of the severance payment and the portion used whilst on leave with pay will be deducted from any final severance payment. Leave with pay cannot exceed the amount of the full severance payment. The employee may not take up other work during the period on pay except for secondary employment already approved.
